Appointments
Appointments generally last about 45 - 60 minutes. The physiotherapist may arrive a few minutes early to set up the treatment table (if needed).

A family member is always welcome to sit in on appointments, although it is best if this is limited to a single additional person (or 2 at most).

Initial Assessments

Initial assessments typically involve taking a thorough history and performing some assessment testing to establish a functional baseline. An initial visit will usually also include some hands on treatment and exercise prescription, as time allows.

Follow up Visits

Follow up visits typically begin with some discussion to see how the "homework" has gone and to see how the client responded to the initial assessment or previous appointment, and how they responded to the prescribed exercises. This is followed by some guided exercise time, hands on therapy, or both.
